Kauai Part Fifteen (Honolulu)

We spent the final few days of our vacation in Honolulu, visiting friends, playing Rock Band, visiting the Arizona Memorial, and touring a WW2 era submarine. After learning our flight home was delayed by five hours, we managed to get onto an earlier and more direct flight, arriving home eight hours early.

Kauai Part Fourteen (Dole Plantation Again)

On our way back through Honolulu we had to stop at the Dole Plantation again to pick up our stroller, which we left there on our first stop. We got a pineapple split and Eily insisted on eating it using a cherry stem.

One of the culinary delights of Kauai was the puka dog. A local favorite, it is a long role into a polish dog is stuffed along with large amounts of sweet sauce: pineapple, mango, star fruit, etc. The puka dog restaurant serves puka dogs and freshly squeezed lemonade and nothing else. And they only take cash! Well worth a visit
